We are happy to invite researchers to the first event of the ANR project Quantum Trajectories from October the 18^th to October the 22^nd of 2021 in Toulouse (France).

The goal of this school is twofold. First, we aim at providing an introduction to the mathematical theory of quantum trajectories and some related topics such as large deviation theory, commutative and non commutative functional inequalities, random states, random quantum channels and open quantum systems.

Second, we plan to gather researchers in the field and the mentionned related topics to present a panorama of the current research in the domain.

This event is designed to be accessible, but not limited, to researchers new to the field and in particular to students and postdocs.

The program will be structured around two 3x2h courses. The first one will be an introduction to quantum trajectories and will be taught by Tristan Benoist and Clément Pellegrini (CNRS and Université Paul Sabatier, filling in for Madalin Guta). The second one will deal with large deviation principle with a focus on random variables without exponential moments. It will be taught by Pierre Petit (Université Paul Sabatier).

The rest of the school will consist of talks on the probabilistic aspects of quantum trajectories and related topics such as open quantum systems, commutative and non commutative functional inequalities, random quantum channels, random quantum states, relationship to physics, …

The school begins at 9:30 a.m. on Monday the 18^th and finishes at lunch on Friday the 22^nd.

The school will be a fully onsite event, unless new restrictions are decided by french governement. To participate, everyone (participants, speakers, organizers) will need to present a EU Digital COVID Certificate, a proof of vaccination or a recent test. Details will be sent to registered participants.

Given travel restrictions, some participant cannot attend the conference, so we will stream the school on Zoom. All the talks will be given onsite. Here is the Zoom room (Meeting ID: 913 2892 9485).

The school will take place at Toulouse Mathematics Institute (Amphitheater Schwartz in building 1R3 of Paul Sabatier University Campus - Google Map).

The institute is accessible by public transportation (Subway Line B, stop Université Paul Sabatier) from the airport or the train station "Toulouse Matabiau".

The institute is well connected with the city center where many hotels and restaurants are available. A good starting point for your search of accomodation is Toulouse tourism office.
